AHP Music Videos is the music video studio of director and cinematographer Austin Hein, based in Stanhope, New Jersey, about 50 miles west of Manhattan. We’ve filmed and edited over 1,300 music videos for artists in New Jersey, New York City and 15 countries, and won Music Video of the Year at the International Portuguese Music Awards.
A director shapes the whole video: the concept, the look, the locations and every shot. On shoot day they run the set, so all you have to think about is the performance. From a one-location performance video to a full story with a cast, the same team takes it from the first idea to the final grade.

Every package includes editing, color grading, a 4K export and 25–100 edited photos. The director add-on can be added to any of them.

01 What does a music video director do?
The director shapes the whole video: the concept, the look, the locations and the shot list. On shoot day they run the set and guide your performance, and afterward they make sure the edit and color tell the story you had in mind.
02 What’s included in the director add-on?
Our directors can work with you on a custom concept or take your idea to the next level. The add-on covers pre-production and concept creation, location scouting and the shot list, and it can be added to any music video package.
03 How much does a music video director cost?
Packages start at $1,000 for two hours of filming, with editing, color grading and a 4K export included. Add the director to any package by picking it on the booking form, and we’ll include it in your quote.
04 Do you film the video too?
Yes. AHP was founded by director and cinematographer Austin Hein, and every package includes cinema cameras, lighting, editing and color grading, so the look stays the same from the first idea to the final grade.
05 Where are you based?
Stanhope, New Jersey, about 50 miles west of Manhattan. We film all over New Jersey and New York City, and travel from our base is $1 per mile.
06 Can I provide my own director?
Yes! We’re happy to collaborate and will work out pre-production details with them before the shoot.
07 Do you travel?
Yes, at $1.00 per mile. For long-distance shoots we quote airfare, lodging and transportation. We’ve traveled 150,000 miles to shoots and have clients in 15 countries.
