How much does a music video cost?
Real prices from a team that has made over 1,300 music videos: what $1,000 gets you, what changes the price, and what a shoot in New York City costs.
A professionally filmed and edited music video with AHP starts at $1,000. Here’s what that buys, what changes the price, and what a shoot in New York City costs, from a team that has made over 1,300 music videos.
The short answer
Our packages are priced by film time, the hours we spend shooting once we arrive:
- 2 Hour$1,000Perfect for a one-location performance video.
- Half Day$1,800Ideal for a multi-location video.
- Full Day$3,000Best for concepts with a story or multiple locations.
- Virtual / XRfrom $5,000Extended-reality music videos unlock a whole new level of creativity.
There’s no limit to how many videos you shoot in that time, so filming a few songs in one session brings the cost of each video down.
What’s included
Every package comes with:
- Filming on 6K cinema cameras
- Lighting
- Editing
- Color grading in DaVinci Resolve
- 1-hour revision session
- Full 4K export
- 25–100 edited photos
Editing takes two to three days on average, and always under a week.
What changes the price
- Film time. It starts when we arrive, and travel between locations counts toward it. Need more on the day? Extra time is $500 an hour.
- Studios and locations. Some locations charge for productions, and some need insurance or permits. Studios bill their own time: Sound on Sound in Montclair, for example, is $150 an hour.
- Travel. $1 per mile from our base in Stanhope, NJ.
- Crew. A simple performance video needs 1 or 2 people. Bigger shoots can need 3 or more.
- Extras. A behind-the-scenes edit with photos starts at $600, the raw footage is $500, and VFX are priced by the hours they take. Talent, hair and makeup, props and specialty gear depend on the idea.

- Keep it to one location. No travel time between spots means more of your film time goes into the video.
- Plan the shots. A shot list and storyboard make the day faster, and we can help with both.
- Already filmed it? We edit and color grade footage you shot yourself, from $350. Editing services.
